Does StayFresh run on my existing machines?
Yes. Roll stock is supplied in your web width, core and gauge; preformed bags match your current dimensions. See the machine list on the Technical page.
Does it need any equipment, sachets or additives?
No. The film itself regulates oxygen, CO2 and humidity. Nothing is added to the pack.
Can I use it with ethylene absorbers?
You can, but most packers find they no longer need them because ethylene diffuses out through the film.
Does it work in the cold chain or only at ambient?
Both. Grades are calibrated for the crop's respiration at 34 to 41°F. The ambient trials on the Science page show the upper end of the effect.
Can it be printed?
Yes, up to 8 colors flexo on bags and pouches, in matte or gloss.
Is it recyclable or compostable?
Most formats are mono-material PE (resin code 4), which is recyclable where film collection exists. Whether you can print a recyclable claim depends on where the pack is sold, so we give you format-by-format guidance. Recycled-content and compostable grades are available on request.
What is the minimum order?
No minimum on the first order after a successful test. Production orders are quoted by format and volume.
How long do samples take?
Standard sizes ship within 3 business days; custom sizes in about 10 business days.
How long do production orders take?
3 to 4 weeks from approved spec for roll stock and bags; printed pouches 4 to 6 weeks.
Where is it made?
Film is extruded at the StayFresh postharvest and extrusion facility. Converting and warehousing for US orders is handled from California.
What documents do you provide?
FDA 21 CFR 177 letter of guarantee, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, Prop 65 statement, BPA-free declaration, and a data sheet per grade. See the Compliance page for the full US list.
