Test protocol
How to run the two-week side-by-side test
Run StayFresh beside your current film on one line for two weeks. You measure, you decide. Here is the protocol most packers use.
- Pick one crop and one pack sizeUse the same lot of produce for both films, packed on the same day.
- Pack 24 and 24Pack 24 units in StayFresh and 24 in your current film on the same line, same fill weight, same seal settings.
- Hold both in your cold chainCooler at 34 to 38°F for the first days, then a simulated retail display at 41 to 45°F. Or ship both with a real order.
- Score every 2 daysPull 4 units from each set: weight loss on a scale, appearance 0 to 5, firmness by hand or penetrometer, decay count, off-odor on opening.
- Stop at your saleable lineEach set ends on the day it falls below your own saleable threshold. That day is its shelf life.
- CompareUnder 30% longer for StayFresh: keep the samples and owe nothing. Over 30%: we quote 10% below your current per-unit film price for 12 months.
